BACKGROUND:
The purpose of the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to establish a qualified pool of a maximum of ten (10) consultant firms, from a wide range of disciplines, to provide Architecture, Landscape Architectural, and Urban Design Services for various City projects. The scope of services shall include, but are not necessarily limited to, building design, cost-benefit analysis, irrigation design, sustainable design, transportation, and land surveying.
DISCUSSION:
The City issued a competitive solicitation in accordance with the Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) pursuant to Section 287.055, Florida Statutes. A selection committee consisting of Sheila Rose, Director of Sustainable Development; Scott Stoudenmire, Deputy Director of Sustainable Development; Yugal Lall, Senior Engineer; Brian Rosen, Public Works Project Manager; and Linda Whitman, Senior Planner, reviewed and evaluated fifteen (15) submittals.
After an extensive evaluation process, which included review of each firm's personnel, past record, experience, area of expertise, office location, and current project workloads, the Selection Committee short-listed to a pool of ten (10) qualified consultants.
