BACKGROUND:

The Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22) Operating and Capital Improvement Budget, which was approved by the City of Coconut Creek City Commission on September 23, 2021, through Ordinance No. 2021-024, included the replacement of a 15-ton HVAC Liebert System at the Public Works Information Technology Server Room through the HVAC Replacement Capital Improvement Program (CIP).  Staff has received a quote from a HVAC services contractor, who has an existing agreement with the City and is ready to proceed with the project following approval by the City Commission.

DISCUSSION:

The existing 15-ton HVAC Liebert System has exceeded its useful life and is in need of replacement.  This unit serves as one (1) of two (2) primary cooling systems in the IT Server Room.

Master Mechanical Services, Inc. was awarded a contract by the City as the primary vendor for HVAC services through RFP No. 02-23-22-10.  Master Mechanical Services, Inc. provided a proposal in the amount of $153,308.00 for the purchase and installation of the new 15-ton HVAC Liebert System.  The project will be completed within one hundred eighty (180) days following Commission approval of this resolution and issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
