BACKGROUND:

The goal of CART is to provide a pool of specialized investigators from different agencies to focus and dedicate intensive investigative, preventative, and general law enforcement efforts with regard to abducted children.

DISCUSSION:

The City is committed to protecting its residents and ensuring public safety. By entering into this Mutual Aid Agreement, it allows the Coconut Creek Police Department the advantage of receiving and extending mutual aid in the form of law enforcement services and resources to adequately respond to multi-jurisdictional criminal activity. This will allow the City to protect the public peace and safety and preserve the lives and property of its residents.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of this Resolution.
