BACKGROUND:
The purpose of Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 10-06-21-11 is to establish a qualified pool of a maximum of ten (10) consultant firms, from a wide range of disciplines to provide architecture, landscape architecture, planning, and urban design services for various City projects. The scope of services shall include, but are not limited to building design, planning, cost-benefit analysis, irrigation design, sustainable design, transportation, land surveying, etc.
DISCUSSION:
The City issued a competitive solicitation in accordance with the Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) pursuant to Florida Statutes, Chapter 287.055. A selection committee consisting of Scott Stoudenmire, Sustainable Development Director; Justin Proffitt, Sustainable Development Assistant Director; Robert McDonald, Utilities and Engineering Project Manager; Brian Rosen, Public Works Project Manager, and Linda Whitman, Senior Planner, reviewed and evaluated the nineteen (19) submittals.
After an extensive evaluation process, which included, review of each firm's personnel, past record, experience, area of expertise, office location, and current project workloads, the selection committee short-listed to a pool of ten (10) qualified consultants.
