body

BACKGROUND:

The City of Coconut Creek is responsible for the operation of a four (4)-inch wastewater forcemain that runs north of Hillsboro Boulevard along NW 39 Avenue and NW 74 Street for wastewater service.  As the area develops, the original design capacity of the four (4)-inch wastewater forcemain is approaching its limits for reliable and uninterrupted service and is in need of an upgrade.

DISCUSSION:

The City is committed to providing uninterrupted services and delivering reliable utility services to all residential and business customers. To accommodate on-going and future development in the area, it is necessary to upgrade the capacity of the existing wastewater infrastructure.  The City has an existing agreement with CPH, LLC for General Professional Engineering Services pursuant to RFQ No. 03-25-20-02, which will allow the firm to perform the necessary design work for a sum of $124,700.
