BACKGROUND:

City Manager Karen M. Brooks has proudly served the City of Coconut Creek for over twenty-six (26) years. Ms. Brooks began her employment with the City in May of 1997 as the City’s Comptroller, and during her tenure was promoted to Deputy Director of Finance and Administrative Services, Director of Finance and Administrative Services, Assistant City Manager/Director of Finance and Administrative Services, and Deputy City Manager/Chief Financial Officer (CFO). On October 4, 2019, the City Commission unanimously named Ms. Brooks City Manager. Her financial acumen, expertise, leadership, and commitment to the City have been invaluable.

We wish Karen a very happy retirement and express our sincere gratitude for her longstanding and dedicated service to the City, its employees, residents, and businesses.
