BACKGROUND:
The City recognizes March 18-22, 2024, as “Government Finance Professionals Week” in order to bring awareness to, and celebrate with pride, the role of government finance professionals. Government finance professionals deserve this acknowledgement because of the vital roles they play in the public sector.
“Government Finance Professionals Week” acknowledges a dedicated group of professionals who have made a difference in governmental efficiency and effectiveness. This week-long recognition provides the opportunity to help educate elected officials, administrators, taxpayers, and vendors about the vital services that government finance professionals provide to the community.
