BACKGROUND:

The City of Coconut Creek is committed to enhancing community aesthetics and promoting a stronger, safer, and more sustainable community by providing funding assistance through the Neighborhood Enhancement Grant (NEG) Program.

DISCUSSION:

For Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23), the NEG Program has a budget of $195,000 to fund neighborhood projects. The Karanda Village VII Condominium Association is requesting $1,414.60 in matching grant funds from the NEG Program to enhance signage at the neighborhood entrance. The total project cost is $2,829.20. The program guidelines provide a maximum reimbursement of $5,000 for signage projects.

The Karanda Village VII Condominium Association application is the seventh NEG of FY23. This grant project is a further enhancement of the community and satisfies the standards established by the NEG Program.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
