BACKGROUND:

The Coconut Creek Police Department (CCPD) and the Broward State Attorney’s Office (SAO) are criminal justice agencies recognized by the Federal Bureau of Investigations and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

DISCUSSION:

The City of Coconut Creek previously entered into a similar agreement in April 2019, which provided for criminal justice information records to be electronically shared between the parties to provide for the efficient administration of criminal justice. The newly-elected State Attorney requests the City to sign a new agreement with the new administration.
