A RESOLUTION APPOINTING FIVE (5) REGULAR MEMBERS AND ONE (1) ALTERNATE MEMBER TO THE COMMUNITY OUTREACH ADVISORY BOARD FOR A TERM ENDING WITH THE NEXT APPOINTMENT IN 2022.

BACKGROUND:
On March 14, 2019, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 2019-005, which established a Community Outreach Advisory Board to serve in an advisory capacity to the Community Relations Division in matters relating to public relations, website communications, social media, video production, marketing and branding.
In accordance with Section 2-266 of the Code of Ordinances, each Commissioner shall nominate one person to fill a position of membership on the Community Outreach Advisory Board. This appointment shall be for a term ending with the next appointment in 2022. The Mayor will nominate one person to fill the alternate position.
DISCUSSION:
Currently serving on this Board are members: Connie Finley, Vice Chair; Amanda Fishman; Cheryl Higgins; Kathy McCombs; and Omar Glenn, Alternate. Jacqueline Railey served as Board Chair for the 2020-2021 appointment year and is now seated as City Commissioner for District B.
