BACKGROUND:

This item was approved on First Reading at the October 22, 2020, City Commission Meeting.

The City and Christine Hunschofsky, State Representative of the Florida House of Representatives (“Hunschofsky”), desire to enter into a lease agreement that allows Hunschofsky to lease office space within the Coconut Creek Government Center to carry out the duties and responsibilities of representing the electors of Florida House District 96 and for no other purposes or uses whatsoever.

DISCUSSION:

The lease agreement between the City and Hunschofsky will commence on November 4, 2020 (“Agreement”), for a term of two (2) years, expiring on November 8, 2022, and will allow for two (2) additional two (2) year terms. The Agreement provides for payment of rent at a rate of Five Hundred Dollars and 00/100 ($500.00) per month.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of this ordinance.
