BACKGROUND:
On September 26, 2019, U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos announced that Atlantic Technical College and Technical High School was awarded the 2019 National Blue Ribbon School Award, as an exemplary high-performing school. This award recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. Atlantic Technical College and Technical High School was the only school in Broward County and one of eleven schools in the state of Florida to be selected as a National Blue Ribbon School. The City of Coconut Creek would like to recognize the school for their distinguished achievement.
