BACKGROUND:
It is the desire of the City to provide every possible means to help build relationships between the community and law enforcement. A collaboration with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward will help to achieve that goal.
DISCUSSION:
The City seeks to enter a partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward to establish a Bigs in Blue Program in Coconut Creek that will provide children with a one-to-one mentoring relationship with a law enforcement officer.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
