A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ONE (1) REGULAR MEMBER TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY ADVISORY BOARD TO FILL THE REMAINDER OF A VACATED TERM.

BACKGROUND:

 

At the April 25, 2019, City Commission meeting, Michel Chamberlain was appointed to the Public Safety Advisory Board by Vice Mayor Sarbone, as approved by Resolution No. 2019-105.  With the recent passing of Mr. Chamberlain, a vacancy exists on the board. In accordance with Section 501 of the City’s Charter and Section 2-270 of the City’s Code of Ordinances, vacancies occurring on the board shall be filled for the unexpired term by the same procedure for initial appointments.

DISCUSSION:

This resolution provides for the filling of the remainder of Mr. Chamberlain’s term, which will expire on the date of the second regularly-scheduled Commission meeting in April 2020.

Currently serving on the Board are: Robert Flood, Vice Chair; Larry Horak; Lauren Linville; Benjamin Nazario; and Kevin Sattler, Alternate.
