A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE SCHOOL SURVEILLANCE CAMERA SYSTEM ACCESS AGREEMENT WITH THE SCHOOL BOARD OF BROWARD COUNTY.

BACKGROUND:
It is the desire of the City to provide every possible means of protection to the students and personnel in public schools located within the City.
DISCUSSION:
The video surveillance agreement allows for police personnel to have access to real-time (live) video feeds and recorded video feeds from the School Board surveillance cameras at all schools and facilities during situations as defined in the agreement.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
