BACKGROUND:
The Amputee Coalition is the nation’s leading organization on limb loss, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for amputees and their families, improving patient care, and preventing limb loss. “Limb Loss Awareness Month” is dedicated to promoting awareness of how to prevent limb loss, to sharing the realities of living with limb difference and limb loss, and recognizing the limb loss community and the impact that limb loss has on the lives of family, friends, and caregivers of those who have been impacted by limb loss.
