BACKGROUND:

On February 23, 2017, the City Commission approved the acceptance of two (2) grants from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in the amount of $200,000 and $50,000 for the redevelopment of Windmill Park.  In accordance with the Grant Agreements, the City must file a site dedication with Broward County requiring that the facility be open to the public and operated in a safe and attractive manner.

DISCUSSION:

The City Charter Section 302.b.2 requires the Mayor to sign documents pertaining to real estate.  In order to receive reimbursement for the grant funding, the City must execute the aforementioned document and file it with Broward County.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of this Resolution.
