BACKGROUND:

During the week-long State Explorer Competition held in Palm Beach Gardens on June 17 - 23, 2018, the City’s Police Explorers took home a total of seven trophies, including a 5^th  place finish overall out of the 27 teams that competed in these challenging contests.  The Explorers had three 4^th place finishes, one 3^rd place finish, and one 5^th place finish.  Explorer Raphael Macedo placed third in the Physical Agility Test for all male participants.  

In addition, the City’s Explorers were recently recognized by Learning for Life, the governing body for the Explorer Program, for reaching Gold status (one of 7 in Broward County) for excellence in areas of leadership, participation, and service.
