A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY MASTER ASSOCIATION (TCMA) PHASE II APPLICATION FOR MATCHING GRANT FUNDS FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD ENHANCEMENT GRANT PROGRAM FOR LANDSCAPE ENHANCEMENTS.

BACKGROUND:
As part of an earlier Neighborhood Enhancement Grant, TCMA has been approved for a five year restoration plan. The City has funded $40,000 towards this plan, which was approved based on mutual commitments. TCMA is requesting an additional $20,000 in matching funds for Phase II of the multi-phase project, which is the first Neighborhood Enhancement Grant request of FY 2018.
DISCUSSION:
This request is a reimbursement for approved work in accordance with the multi-phase design. Specifically, TCMA Phase II enhancements include six neighborhoods within the Township Community: Pond Apple Place I, Pond Apple Place III, Pond Apple Place IV, Karanda Village V, Golden Raintree I, and Golden Raintree IV. This grant application is for the Pond Apple Place III portion of Phase II. The total cost for Pond Apple III is $146,839.00, far exceeding the grants matching requirement. The final components of the Phase II restoration plan are pending submittal.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this Resolution in the full amount of $20,000. The Resolution has been drafted to effectuate this recommendation.
