BACKGROUND:
In 2009, the City completed the Coconut Creek 69th Street Greenway connection between the eastern limits of Carl's Furniture/Cusano's Bakery and the C-5 Canal ("Greenway"). Funding for this project was provided through a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Greenways and Trails Grant. Broward County subsequently constructed the bridge connection over the C-5 canal, providing access to the existing greenway link east of the canal through to Lyons Road.
