BACKGROUND:
As part of the development of In the Pines, water and wastewater infrastructure was installed in accordance with City standards and specifications. The Utility Easement is described in Exhibit “1” and the Bill of Sale from the developer to the City is attached as Exhibit “2” of the Utility Easement.
DISCUSSION:
The City is committed to ensuring continuity and expansion of utility services, as well as efficient and effective customer service. The developer, at their cost, has designed and constructed water infrastructure to serve their development and to be an integral part of the City’s system. These facilities are now being dedicated to the City through the Utility Easement and Bill of Sale, transferring all rights, title, and interest located within said Utility Easement to the City. The City will be responsible for all future maintenance and upkeep of these facilities upon release of the maintenance bond.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this Resolution.
