BACKGROUND:
As part of the development of North Broward Preparatory School Wellness and Athletic Center, a water isolation valve and service line were installed in accordance with City standards and specifications. The Utility Easement is described in Exhibit “1” and the Bill of Sale from the developer to the City is attached as Exhibit “2” of the Utility Easement.
DISCUSSION:
The City is committed to ensuring continuity and expansion of the utility services, and efficient and effective customer service for its residents and businesses. The developer, at their cost, has designed and constructed a water isolation valve and service line. The water isolation valve will allow the City to shut off the water from the privately maintained point, should there be an emergency. The water service line currently serves the property north of the school. These facilities are now being dedicated to the City through this Utility Easement and Bill of Sale, transferring all rights, title, and interest located within said utility easement to the City. The City will be responsible for all future maintenance and upkeep of these facilities.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this Resolution.
