body

BACKGROUND:

On October 15, 2017, the City issued Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 11-15-17-10 to contract with a professional and experienced company to provide a comprehensive maintenance program for the nineteen (19) preserve sites and twelve (12) aquatic areas under the City’s jurisdiction.

DISCUSSION:

Solicitations were electronically sent through the eBid system to thirty-two (32) prospective vendors, and five (5) responsive proposals were received from: 1) Allstate Resource Management, Inc.; 2) Aquagenix d.b.a. DeAngelo Brothers;  3) Aquatic Vegetation Control, Inc.; 4) Lake and Wetland Management, Inc.; and 5) Tree Huggers Landscaping & Nursery.

The submittals were evaluated based on the criteria listed in the RFP by the Selection Committee, consisting of Brian Rosen, Public Works Senior Project Manager; John Tetteris, Public Works Supervisor; and Terry Adjodha, Parks and Natural Resources Lead Worker.  After evaluating the submittals, the Selection Committee recommends awarding the contract to Allstate Resource Management, Inc. to perform the maintenance of preserve areas and aquatic vegetation control services for the City.  The Agreement provides for a three (3) year term with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.
