AGENDA ITEM REPORT

TITLE:

title

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SUNGARD PUBLIC SECTOR, LLC FOR PENTAMATION SOFTWARE LICENSE AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES.

body

BACKGROUND:

The City entered into an agreement SunGard Public Sector, LLC for Pentamation software license and maintenance services (“Agreement”) on September 8, 2016. Subsequent to the Agreement, SunGard Public Sector, LLC merged with Ramundsen Public Sector, LLC.  On April 13, 2017, the City entered into a Consent to Assignment Agreement with Ramundsen Public Sector, LLC, as successor by merger to SunGard Public Sector, and Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement to provide for additional training (“Amendment No. 1”).

DISCUSSION:

The parties desire to amend the Agreement to provide for a renewal of the Pentamation software license and maintenance services for one (1) year until September 30, 2018, acknowledge the name change from SunGard Public Sector, LLC to Ramundsen Public Sector, LLC d/b/a Superion, LLC, and update the Project Cost Supplement, attached as Exhibit “B.”

The annual maintenance and support services for the FinancePLUS 5.1 and CommunityPLUS 9.1 software systems has been reduced to $63,920.35 for this fiscal year.  The decrease is due to the cancellation of Informix software maintenance items, which are no longer in use, and two other items that are no longer available or necessary since the recent Pentamation upgrade.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of this Resolution.
