BACKGROUND:
It is the City’s intent to establish an agreement with an experienced and qualified company to provide HVAC services for routine and emergency repair and replacement services on an as needed basis. The Agreement with the current company, Master Mechanical Services, Inc. ends on April 11, 2017.
DISCUSSION:
On January 22, 2017, the City issued thirty-two (32) electronic invitations through the eBid system, and three (3) firms submitted responses: 1) American Network Construction, LLC, 2) HVAC Mechanical Services, Inc., and 3) Master Mechanical Services, Inc. Purchasing reviewed the submittals for responsiveness and conducted reference checks. The aforementioned submittals were found to be responsive and the performance reference surveys were all good.
The submittals were evaluated based on criteria listed in the attached solicitation document by the Selection Committee comprised of Lou Italico, Public Works Project Manager; John Tetteris, Public Works Supervisor; and Salvatore Magliarisi, Public Works HVAC Mechanic. The Committee recommends awarding the Agreement to Master Mechanical Services, Inc. for a period of three (3) years, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this Resolution.
