BACKGROUND:

The Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) has been concerned with improving all aspects of marine facilities, marine activities, and the waterways of Broward County for almost 50 years.  Over the past 39 years, they have organized annual Waterway Cleanup Days, and during these events over 69,000 volunteers have removed nearly four million pounds of trash from the County’s waterways. 

On March 4, 2017, the MIASF has scheduled the 40^th Annual Broward County Waterway Cleanup.  Three locations within the City of Coconut Creek are included in this year’s Waterway Cleanup: Donaldson Park, Community Center, and Tradewinds Park.
