BACKGROUND:
The purpose of the Request for Proposals (RFP) is to contract with a qualified and professional company to provide pressure cleaning services on an as-needed basis to specified areas in Coconut Creek along Coconut Creek, Broward County, and State of Florida right-of-ways. The scope of services shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, cleaning and power washing all curbs and gutters, medians, associated pavers (including sealing pavers), sidewalks, and barrel roof tiles. These services will tie in with ongoing, planned maintenance services.
DISCUSSION:
The City issued a competitive solicitation for pressure cleaning services on July 24, 2016. Solicitations were electronically sent to forty-two (42) prospective vendors, and two (2) responsive proposals were received. A selection committee consisting of Randall Blanchette, Transportation and Stormwater Engineer; Jim Berkman, Director of Public Works; and Lou Italico, Public Works Supervisor evaluated and ranked the responses in accordance with the following criteria: (1) Operational Plan for the City, (2) Price, (3) Qualifications and Experience, (4) Resources and Availability, and (5) Past Performance. People's Choice Pressure Cleaning, Inc. was ranked number one. The initial contract period is for three (3) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this Resolution.
