COCONUT CREEK GIRLS BASKETBALL MAYOR’S AWARD.

BACKGROUND:
For the last twelve years, the Parks & Recreation Department, in conjunction with our league coaches, has nominated and selected recipients of this award each year from a field of over 80 participants. Selection is based on team work and portrayal of good sportsmanship throughout the season.
This year’s award will be presented to two youth basketball players from the 2016 Coconut Creek Girls Basketball Program from August 13 to November 5, 2016.
The 2016 Girls’ Basketball Mayor’s Award recipients are:
• 8-10 Age Division - Mercedes Lopez (Bulls Team)
• 11-14 Age Division - Gianna Auguste (Comets Team)
