BACKGROUND:
The City is committed to disposing of surplus property in the most efficient and cost effective manner with the objective of obtaining maximum revenue for each item sold.
DISCUSSION:
Various City-owned properties in the Public Works, Finance and Administrative Services, and Information Technology Departments have been inspected and confirmed by City staff to be inoperable, no longer economically feasible to repair, or obsolete. It is in the best interest of the City for the items to be either sold at public auction, traded in, or disposed of in accordance with City Resolution No. 2002-134, the City’s surplus policy, and Chapter 274, Florida Statutes.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends declaring the items as surplus and listing the property to be disposed of in accordance with the City’s surplus policy.
