BACKGROUND:
The purpose of the Request for Proposals (RFP) is to contract with a qualified contractor to provide fitness equipment maintenance and repair services for all fitness equipment located at the City’s Community Center, Recreation Complex, and Police Fitness Room. Fitness equipment maintenance and repair services includes preventative maintenance services and repair services on an as-needed basis.
DISCUSSION:
On July 3, 2016, the City issued RFP No. 07-27-16-10. The RFP opening occurred on July 27, 2016. Thirteen (13) vendors were solicited, seven (7) documents were downloaded, and one (1) response was received. After review of the submittal, it was determined that the responding company was non-responsive due to missing documentation.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff believes it is in the City’s best interest for the City Commission to reject the submittal pursuant to RFP No. 07-27-16-10, page 6, paragraph 12.3 - “Acceptance or Rejection of Bids.” Staff intends to re-advertise the RFP in the near future.
