BACKGROUND:
The School Resource Officer (SRO) Program is established for the purposes set forth in Section 230.2318, Florida Statutes, including assistance in the prevention of juvenile delinquency through programs specifically developed to respond to those factors and conditions that give rise to delinquency.
DISCUSSION:
The City is committed to protecting and serving its residents. The SRO Program is a great benefit to school administration, students, and the community as a whole.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the Part-time SRO Employment Agreement to be used for the SRO Program.
