A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH INFINITY PLUMBING, INC. (PRIMARY CONTRACTOR) AND R&J PLUMBING AND BACKFLOW SERVICES (SECONDARY CONTRACTOR) TO PROVIDE PLUMBING SERVICES ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS PURSUANT TO RFP NO. 04-24-24-11.

BACKGROUND:
On March 10, 2024, the City issued Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 04-24-24-11 to contract with qualified firms to provide routine and emergency plumbing services on an as-needed basis. The work consists of the firm providing all labor, equipment, materials, parts, service, and supervision necessary to provide the services.
DISCUSSION:
Solicitations were electronically sent through the eBid System to sixty-three (63) prospective vendors. Two (2) responsive proposals were received from Infinity Plumbing, Inc. and R&J Plumbing and Backflow Services. A selection committee comprised of John Tetteris, Public Works Superintendent; John Yancey, Facilities Maintenance Supervisor; and Enrique Castro, Parks and Recreation Superintendent, evaluated the submittals based on the criteria listed in the RFP. The selection committee ranked Infinity Plumbing, Inc. as number one and recommends awarding Infinity Plumbing, Inc. as the primary contractor, and R&J Plumbing and Backflow Services as the secondary contractor. The initial contract period shall be for three (3) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
