A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A UTILITY EASEMENT OVER, ACROSS, THROUGH, IN, AND UNDER A PORTION OF LAND LYING WITHIN THE LYONS TRADEWINDS PARK NORTH PLAT, RELATING TO PARCEL NUMBER 484217000050, LOCATED IN BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT “1,” FOR THE TRADEWINDS PARK UTILITIES IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, OR DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE UTILITY EASEMENT AGREEMENT.

BACKGROUND:
As part of the Tradewinds Park Utilities Improvements project, new water infrastructure was installed in accordance with City standards and specifications. These improvements are now being formally dedicated to the City. The utility easements to be conveyed to the City are more fully described in Exhibit “1.”
DISCUSSION:
The City is committed to maintaining the continuity and expansion of utility services, as well as providing efficient and effective customer service. At its own expense, the County has designed and constructed new water infrastructure to serve Tradewinds Park, which will become an integral part of the City’s system. These facilities were designed and built in accordance with City standards and are now being dedicated to the City.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution.

NOTES: Water/Sewer Capital Improvement Fund Revenue Account 42-V38940, Grants and Donations. The value/dimension of the easements will be determined and recorded as part of the City's annual year-end process.
