BACKGROUND:
The City of Coconut Creek recognizes October 23, 2025, as the first annual “Coconut Creek Public Safety Day” in order to commemorate the unique history of the Coconut Creek Police Department, including its transition from a Public Safety Department to a dedicated Police Department, and the legacy and significant contributions of the officers who helped shape its identity.
