BACKGROUND:
The City of Coconut Creek is committed to enhancing community aesthetics and promoting a stronger, safer, and more sustainable community by providing funding assistance through the Neighborhood Enhancement Grant (NEG) Program.
DISCUSSION:
For Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23), the NEG Program has a budget of $195,000 to fund neighborhood projects. The 3404 Bimini Condominium Association is requesting $4,378.55 in matching grant funds from the NEG Program to enhance community safety and security. The total project cost is $8,757.10. The program guidelines provide a maximum reimbursement of $10,000 for security projects. Some records associated with this agenda item are exempt from public disclosure pursuant to Sections 281.301, and 119.071(3)(a), Fla.Stats.
The 3404 Bimini Condominium Association application request is the second NEG of FY23. This grant project is a further enhancement of the community and satisfies the standards established by the NEG Program.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
