BACKGROUND:
The City recognizes March 16-20, 2026, as “Government Finance Professionals Week” to bring awareness, and celebrate with pride, the role of government finance professionals. Government finance professionals play a vital role in the public sector, and this week-long recognition deservedly acknowledges the dedicated group of professionals who have made a difference in governmental efficiency and effectiveness. “Government Finance Professionals Week” provides the opportunity to help educate elected officials, administrators, taxpayers, and vendors about the vital services that government finance professionals provide to the community.
