The City is committed to protecting and serving its residents.  The SRO Program is a great benefit to school administration, students, and the community as a whole.  The attached SRO Agreement provides for twelve (12) police officers to work as SROs in the following Coconut Creek schools:  Coconut Creek Elementary (1), Winston Park Elementary (1), Tradewinds Elementary (1), Lyons Creek Middle (2), Coconut Creek High (2), Monarch High (2), Atlantic Technical Center (1), Atlantic Technical College (1), and Dave Thomas Educational Center West (1).  The agreement is for twelve (12) SROs for a ten (10) month period, beginning August 10, 2020, and ending June 9, 2021. The City will receive $72,000 per month for twelve (12) SROs for ten (10) months. Additionally, the City will receive two installments of $12,000 for June 2021 and July 2021 to have one (1) SRO assigned to Atlantic Technical College and one (1) SRO assigned to Dave Thomas Educational Center West, during those two months.  The City will receive a total of $744,000 from the School Board during the term of the agreement.
