body

BACKGROUND:

The City of Coconut Creek is committed to enhancing community aesthetics and promoting a stronger, safer, and more resilient community by providing funding assistance through the Neighborhood Enhancement Grant (NEG) Program.

DISCUSSION:

For Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26), the NEG Program has allocated a budget of $195,000 to fund neighborhood improvement projects. The Bermuda Village Condominium Association has submitted a request for $4,285.50 in matching grant funds from the NEG Program to enhance community safety and security, with a total project cost of $8,571.00. The program guidelines provide for a reimbursement of fifty percent (50%) of the project costs, up to a maximum of $10,000 for security projects.

Certain records relating to security systems for this agenda item are exempt from public disclosure pursuant to Section 281.301, F.S., and Section 119.071(3)(a), F.S., and have, therefore, not been made part of this agenda item. However, City staff has thoroughly reviewed all grant documents to ensure compliance with City requirements.
