A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE SCHOOL SURVEILLANCE CAMERA SYSTEM ACCESS AGREEMENT WITH THE SCHOOL BOARD OF BROWARD COUNTY.

body

BACKGROUND:

The City of Coconut Creek (“City”) and the School Board of Broward County (“SBBC”) previously entered into a School Surveillance Camera System Access Agreement, approved by Resolution No. 2022-205 on October 1, 2022, which expires on January 15, 2027.

DISCUSSION:

The parties desire to amend the agreement to provide clarification that the City will be permitted to view through remote access, real-time (live) and recorded video feeds when a call is received through the E-911 system, the SBBC’s mobile panic alert system (Alyssa’s Alert), or additional SBBC strategies or systems, of an emergency occurring on or near the grounds of a district school or facility.
