BACKGROUND:

The City is committed to protecting its residents, visitors, and property, while creating a safe environment for all who live in, work in, or visit the Coconut Creek community. The purchase of these items will continue to enhance the high-quality workforce and ensure public safety.

DISCUSSION:

The attached memo, from Chief of Police Frederick Hofer to City Manager Sheila Rose, explains the request totaling $29,700 from the Federal Law Enforcement Trust Fund to assist with the first year costs associated with the purchase of the Flock Safety License Plate Reader (LPR) subscription renewal.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
