BACKGROUND:
The City of Coconut Creek recognizes June 2026 as “Migraine and Headache Awareness Month” to encourage all residents, healthcare professionals, and policymakers to support awareness, advance research, and improve access to care for headache disease. Headache disorders affect more than 40 million Americans and over 1.1 billion people worldwide. Despite their prevalence, headache disorders often remain underrecognized and underfunded in terms of research, treatment options, and support services.
