body

BACKGROUND:

Dr. Jennifer Jurado, Chief Resilience Officer and Deputy Director for the Broward County Public Works and Environmental Services Department, will provide a brief presentation regarding the upcoming grant funding opportunity available through the Resilient Broward Grant Program.

On April 28, 2026, the Broward County Commission approved the allocation of $20 million to support implementation of the Resilient Broward Plan through the Resilient Broward Grant Program. The funding is intended to accelerate the construction of priority infrastructure projects that provide immediate flood risk reduction throughout Broward County. The Grant Program is expected to provide up to a twenty-five percent (25%) cost share for eligible stormwater conveyance projects identified within, or consistent with, the Resilient Broward Plan, including stormwater pumps, water control structures, and culvert installations and upgrades.
