BACKGROUND:
On April 7, 2024, the City issued Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 04-29-24-11 for Sports Officiating Services to contract with qualified firms to provide sports officiating services for the City’s recreational sports leagues. The work consists of furnishing all labor, service and supervision necessary to properly officiate sports events in a safe, effective, and efficient manner on an as-needed basis.
DISCUSSION:
Solicitations were electronically sent through the eBid System to nine (9) prospective proposers. Three (3) proposals were received from the following firms: 1) Team Services Florida, LLC; 2) SuperSports of Broward County, Inc.; and 3) 4life Resource & Services, LLC. The proposal submitted by 4life Resource & Services, LLC was deemed to be non-responsive. A selection committee comprised of Melissa See, Parks and Recreation Supervisor; Priya Ragoonanan, Finance and Administrative Services Accountant; and Colette Okamoto, Parks and Recreation Supervisor, evaluated the submittals based on the criteria listed in the RFP. The selection committee ranked SuperSports of Broward County, Inc. as number one and is recommending award to SuperSports of Broward County. The initial term of the agreement is for three (3) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution.

NOTES: Expenditures are estimated based on maximum enrollment for the athletic leagues. Actual expenditures will vary based on enrollment, programming and the approved budget. Funding is available from Account 0183-3412, Recreation Contract Services.
