ELECTION RESULTS - MARCH 14, 2023, MUNICIPAL ELECTION AND REFERENDUM.

BACKGROUND:
On March 14, 2023, the City of Coconut Creek held a Municipal Election and Referendum to fill the Commission seats in Districts A and D for a four-year term, expiring in March 2027, and for electors of the City to vote on one (1) ballot question concerning amendments to the City Charter relating to filling vacancies on the City Commission, specifically amendments to Sections 305 and 713.
Pursuant to Section 709 of the City Charter, the results of voting at each polling place, when ascertained, shall be certified by the County Supervisor of Elections to the City Clerk, who shall transmit such return to the City Commission at the first regular meeting following receipt of the certified election results. At such meeting, the City Commission shall receive the return, and the result as shown by such return shall be entered into the minutes of the meeting.
