BACKGROUND:
The Government Center roof is 26 years old and in poor condition, and staff has determined that it is in need of replacement. Architectural services are necessary to prepare the design and construction documents. Funding for the preparation of plans and specifications was approved in the FY18 Capital Improvement Budget.
DISCUSSION:
Walters Zackria Associates, Inc. is on the City’s approved list of qualified consultants for architectural services pursuant to RFQ No. 08-24-6-11 and has provided a proposal in the amount of $87,790 to perform the aforementioned services. Design services authorized under the Work Authorization are anticipated to be complete within 195 days from the date of receipt of authorization from the City.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this Resolution.
