BACKGROUND:
The City of Coconut Creek is committed to enhancing community aesthetics and promoting a stronger, safer, and more resilient community by providing funding assistance through the Neighborhood Enhancement Grant (NEG) Program. For Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) the NEG Program has allocated a budget of $195,000 to fund neighborhood improvement projects.
DISCUSSION:
The Cayman Village Condominium Association has submitted a request for $6,537.60 in matching grant funds to enhance energy conservation by upgrading to LED light fixtures throughout the neighborhood. The total project cost is $13,075.20. The program guidelines provide a maximum reimbursement of $7,500.00 for condominium/townhouse energy conservation projects.
The Cayman Village Condominium Association application is the fourteenth NEG request of FY26. The proposed grant project will further enhance the community and satisfies the standards established by the NEG Program.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
