BACKGROUND:

The City applied for and was awarded grant funding from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program in the amount of $7,741.00 through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).

DISCUSSION:

Awarded grant funding will be used to purchase individual first aid kits that will enhance the safety and well-being of law enforcement personnel and allow officers to provide effective emergency medical care to individuals as may be necessary.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
