BACKGROUND:
On December 19, 2021, the City issued Invitation for Bid (IFB) NO. 01-05-22-10 to purchase firearms and accessories with trade-in for the Police Department. Forty-two (42) electronic invitations were sent through the City’s eBid System.
DISCUSSION:
The City received one (1) responsive submittal from Lou’s Police Distributors, Inc. Lou’s is the only distributor in South Florida large enough to handle an order of this size. Procurement reviewed the submittal for responsiveness and conducted reference checks. A committee consisting of Lieutenant Scott Slavin, Sergeant Kevin Valade, Officer Andrew Renna, and Officer David Tablada, was established to review the submittal. The total purchase is $185,605.04, less the trade-in value of $66,146, for a total cost of $119,459.04. Delivery will be made within 90 days upon notice to the vendor by the City.

Staff recommends approval of this motion.
