BACKGROUND:

The School Board of Broward County has established a School Resource Officer (SRO) Program pursuant to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act. The SRO Program is a great benefit to school administration, students, and the community as a whole.

DISCUSSION:

The attached agreement provides for one (1) SRO at Winston Park Elementary School for summer school, retroactively for the period covering June 22, 2026, through July 16, 2026, for which the City will receive the sum of $10,040.80 from the School Board.

RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
