BACKGROUND:

CrimeView Dashboard is an IQ subscription service that will allow the City to effectively respond to crime trends by utilizing data collected from several record systems.  CrimeView Dashboard pulls information from different sources to be used for strategic and tactical operations to combat crime, and CrimeMapping provides an overview of designated crimes within a particular area.

DISCUSSION:

Please see attached memo and associated backup from Captain John DiCintio to City Manager Mary C. Blasi explaining the request to purchase the CrimeView Dashboard and CrimeMapping software license with Federal Law Enforcement Trust Funds in the amount of $50,775.  This figure includes the implementation service fee of $25,200, years 1-3 of CrimeView software licensing in the amount of $21,975, and years 1-3 of CrimeMapping software licensing in the amount of $3,600.  The purchase of these programs will enhance the Police Department’s ability to keep the City safe.
